#MadinaCanada‘s latest event, Love God, Love People | World Interfaith Harmony Week Symposium as part of World Interfaith Harmony Week with Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain and Rev. Dr. Terry Atkinson helped bring the community as a whole together. We were reminded to love everyone, regardless of their faith, race, gender, status, and more. The world is in need of love, let us do our part and show unconditional love and compassion to all.
#MadinaCanada‘s first weekend for the Part-time Islamic Studies (Usul-ud-Din) Program welcomed our new group of students, our future leaders, as we dove right into our Arabic intensive. Taught by Madina alumnus, these first couple of classes showed how much students can progress in just 10 months, from novices to students of knowledge who are capable of passing on their knowledge.
We welcomed students with welcome packages and insight on why there is a need for knowledge in our current times.
Next class will feature Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya al-Husayni al-Ninowy الشيخ د. محمد النينوي covering Aqeedah Al-Tahiwiyyah, equipping students with knowledge essential to our faith.

The 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal is one of the most authentic and well-known dates said to be the birth date of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). Last evening, we concluded our 12 Days of Mawlid – Shamail Dhikr Naats Nasheeds and Qasaid with a large gathering full of illumination. Led by Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain and accompanied by #MadinaCanada students, we learned about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and reflected on some beautiful poetry. Thanks to everyone that came out last evening and for the past 12 evenings, it was our pleasure to serve you and increase everyone’s love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Be sure to join us every Thursday at 7PM for our weekly Dhikr and continue this routine of keeping Allah and His messenger (peace be upon him and his family) always on our tongues and in our hearts.
Also join us every Friday at 1:30PM for our Jumu’ah khutbah.
It is very sad to see all the hate and terror present in our world today. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) was sent down as a mercy to the worlds. In order to go back to a peaceful world full of love, it is essential that we learn about and celebrate our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
On Thursday, November 30th, we will conclude our 12 Days of Mawlid, where we have learned and are still learning about our Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him and his family) attributes from the Shamail. It is always important to know, “How would Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) act in this situation?”.
Join us on the 12th of Rabi’ Al-Awwal for our Mawlid for Peace, with special prayers for global peace & safety. The program will feature naats, nasheeds, and qasaid in multiple languages such as English, Arabic, Urdu, and Punjabi. Food and refreshments will be provided. Come experience Madina at #MadinaCanada! 2380 Speakman Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5K 1B4.

I am deeply devastated by today’s horrendous, terrorist attack that took place today in the al-Rawda Sufi mosque in Bir-Al-Abed, which killed and injured hundreds of Sufi worshippers.
On behalf of all Sufi Canadian Muslims, I, along with all the faculty members and students at Madina Seminary, offer our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims of today’s attack. We pray for a complete and rapid recovery for all those injured.
This senseless attack targeted our innocent Sufi brothers and sisters in Islam, who were worshiping at their place of worship – a place where they should have felt safe, secure and at peace.
We must all stand together against these acts of terrorism and counter hate by promoting the values of unconditional love, compassion, diversity, inclusion, and peace.
God almighty protect us all from harm.
Without the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), we would not know Allah, we would not be Muslims. It is imperative on us to celebrate and learn about our Prophet (peace be upon him and his family). Join us for our 12 Days of Mawlid with Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain as we cover The Shamail: The Attributes of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). All nights will be full of knowledge, dhikr, naats, nasheeds, and qasaid with #MadinaCanada students and other world-renowned guests.
See you all at #MadinaCanada! 2380 Speakman Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5K 1B4. RSVP on the event page: https://business.facebook.com/events/2061463850757043/

Last Friday, Shaykh Ibrahim Hussain and Shaykh Rashad Jameer reminded us about the lessons from Surah Al-Waqiah. The event began with a group recitation followed by short talks outlining key points of tafsir (commentary of the Qur’an) for this surah.
