World renowned Islamic preacher of peace is coming to the GTA; effort to calm climate
of fear and outrage in the 2nd largest religious community.
Mississauga, ON (February 15, 2017) – Madina Seminary’s Center for Non-Violence and
Peace Studies is hosting “Non-violence: A Fundamental Principle in Islam” with founding
director, Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Al-Ninowy (preacher of peace; followed by millions of
Saturday, February 25 at 7:30 PM – 9 PM (Next Week)
Join us as we discuss the concept of non-violence and how it is a fundamental principle in
Islam. The Islamic concept of non-violence can be traced back to the Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him and his family). Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Al-Ninowy will be going over
the concept of non-violence and explaining a collection of Prophetic nonviolence and peace
methods and practices that have irrefutably benefited our civilization. These concepts,
methods, and practices are in greater need today.
The Canadian Muslim community is in a state of flux; An Anti-Islamophobia Motion is
making its way through the hoops and hurdles of our Parliament. While the growing
community is still reeling from last month’s Quebec City Mosque shootings. All the while,
daily news headlines coming out of our neighbor’s to the South (USA) provide no relief.
“According to Canada’s 2011 National Household Survey, there were 1,053,945 Muslims in
Canada or about 3.2% of the population, making them the second largest religion after
Christianity . In the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), 7.7% of the population is Muslim, and in
Greater Montreal, Muslims are 6% of the total population.”

About: Dr. Muhammad Al-Ninowy has a global following of hundreds of thousands of
Muslims; while, millions consume his lectures and videos on a daily basis. Dr. Ninowy
was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. He began his study under his father, Sayyid Yahya and
many of the senior scholars of Aleppo at the time, memorizing the Glorious Quran, and
acquiring knowledge in many of the Islamic disciplines. A graduate of the Faculty of Usul
al-Din at Al-Azhar University, the Shaykh has established a global network of Madina
