Islam and beauty are inseparable. This admiration for beauty throughout Muslim history was often expressed in the form of calligraphy; when one gazes at mosques that are centuries old, for instance, dazzling calligraphy often embellish their walls. As a result of our new Between the Lines: An Islamic Calligraphy Course, you have the opportunity to move beyond simply gazing at stunning, elegant calligraphy, but can be amongst those who carry on the legacy of Islamic calligraphy.

This course works on three aspects of Islamic calligraphy:

1. Writing individual Arabic letters with beauty and precision
2. Joining these letters together to form words
3. Combining words to form breath-taking sentences

Over 7 weeks, we will work on the three aspects above as we work towards expressing the beauty of Islamic calligraphy using the Arabic script. Join us on this journey!
